Wolves will travel to Ipswich Town for their 31st Premier League game of the season.
A win over Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys would see the Old Gold extend their lead over the bottom three to 12 points.
Although not mathematically safe just yet, Wolves will be planning for life next season in the Premier League.
Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
15 | 30 | 7 | 13 | 10 | 32 | 37 | -5 | 34 | |
16 | 30 | 9 | 7 | 14 | 33 | 50 | -17 | 34 | |
17 | 30 | 8 | 5 | 17 | 41 | 58 | -17 | 29 | |

19 | 30 | 4 | 5 | 21 | 25 | 67 | -42 | 17 |
But before they can take their foot off the gas, the Old Gold must play the reverse fixture of one of the season’s feistiest matchups.

Jorgen Strand Larsen can do something he hasn’t for three years against Ipswich
It was chaos the last time these two sides met. Ipswich Town secured a 2-1 victory at Molineux just before Christmas but it was what happened after the final whistle that made headlines.
Matheus Cunha clashed with members of Ipswich Town’s security team — one member of staff had his glasses broken — sparking a riot. Cunha was suspended for two games after being shown a red card.
And even though Cunha, who is suspended again, will not feature this weekend, Wolves can still inflict maximum damage on their domestic rivals.
Jorgen Strand Larsen is in a great patch of form. The Norwegian forward has netted three goals in his last two matches, including a game-winning brace away to Southampton last month.

Should Strand Larsen score again this weekend, he would have netted in his last three games — something he hasn’t done since 2022, when he was at Groningen.
And it isn’t just Strand Larsen’s individual record that is up for grabs this weekend. The Tractor Boys can also set a new record, albeit an unwanted one…
Wolves have chance to inflict more misery on Tractor Boys
Despite their promotion to the Premier League being one of the best stories from last season, this campaign hasn’t been what the Tractor Boys would’ve hoped for.
The quality of England’s top flight has proven too much for McKenna to contend with. The side from Suffolk have won four league games this season, scoring just 30 goals.
And to add insult to injury, a win on Saturday for Wolves would see McKenna’s men suffer six home defeats on the spin — something that hasn’t happened since 1963.
Over to you, Wolves…
