What Wolves fans could be heard chanting at Jorgen Strand Larsen in Brentford defeat

Wolves’ winless start to the Premier League campaign continued at Molineux with an extremely poor 2-0 defeat to Brentford.

There was very little to shout about in Wolves’ defeat to Brentford, with David Moller-Wolfe and Jose Sa the only two players who can really hold their heads high.

It was a repeat of previous games at Molineux. Just a complete lack of quality going forward and gaps appearing everywhere in defence.

A mistake from Ladislav Krejci to let the ball bounce saw Lewis Keane-Potter put Brentford one in front, and it was all downhill from there.

Jorgen Strand Larsen‘s penalty miss just summed up his season at Wolves. He looks like he doesn’t want to be here and is a shadow of the player we saw last season.

Wolves fans let Jorgen Strand Larsen know how they feel after Brentford penalty miss

Rob Edwards claimed Strand Larsen isn’t lacking confidence prior to the Brentford clash.

And based on his performance on Saturday afternoon, that doesn’t appear to be the truth. His penalty looked like a player who has hit rock bottom.

A stutter run-up that was followed by the tamest of shots at an easy height for Caoimhin Kelleher.

Wolves fans let their feelings be known after the penalty miss as they could be heard chanting ‘what the ******* hell was that’. Boos also rang around Molineux.

Tolu Arokodare has to start for the foreseeable future

Tolu Arokodare offered a lot more up top than Jorgen Strand Larsen against Arsenal, but got no rewards for his goal and efforts.

This doesn’t exactly send a positive message to the players.

Strand Larsen is at an all-time low in confidence, failing to score in his last eight Premier League appearances for Wolves, yet he still gets called upon.

Edwards needs to give him a rest, whether he likes it or not.

It’s only doing Wolves and the Norwegian damage by constantly relying on him to deliver when the quality clearly isn’t there right now.
