What Wolves fans could be heard chanting after conceding against Burnley

Wolves’ first-half game plan did not initially go as expected, as Zian Flemming struck for Burnley after just 14 minutes, and it prompted the home crowd to erupt into a chant.

Vitor Pereira’s lineup had two surprises, and the hope was that his squad could finally get a win in the Premier League.

Fans were left disillusioned when a simple long-ball pass fell to the Burnley forward shortly after two excellent chances for the Old Gold to go ahead.

It was an excellent finish from the Dutchman in all fairness, but the Molineux faithful were not best pleased after going a goal down.

Later, Flemming would strike again, compounding the miserable start by Vitor Pereira’s side, before Jorgen Strand Larsen pulled one back from the penalty spot.

Marshall Munetsi would equalise just before half-time, but what was sung after Burnley’s first goal spoke volumes.

Wolves fans chant for Fosun to sell the club

Wolves fans were rightly upset after conceding early on against the Clarets, as this has been billed as a must-win game for the Wanderers.

It was crucial they started well, but ultimately the opener left the home support both restless and furious.

Club owners Fosun were the centre of the anger, and the frustration was let out in the form of a chant.

Supporters sang, “”You’ve sold the team, now sell the club,” highlighting a long run of discontent among fans about the board.

Over the summer window, Wolves ended their transfer business with a positive net spend, and the departures of Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait Nouri were not sufficiently replaced.

David Moller Wolfe was signed as the left-back replacement, but the Norwegian has barely featured since joining the club. He has only started the opening two games of the Premier League season.

Additionally, Jhon Arias has struggled to adapt to English football as the Colombian awaits his first goal contribution for the Old Gold.

The first part of the chant by supporters certainly holds some truth, and the feelings for the second part are not new.

However, the players on the pitch have to be credited for turning what looked to be a disappointing afternoon into a game they could still fight for all three points in.
