Wolves travelled to St. James’ Park to take on Newcastle United in the Premier League on Wednesday.
The Old Gold came into the fixture in winning form after they beat Bristol City 2-1 in the FA Cup’s Third Round last weekend.
January signing Emmanuel Agbadou featured against The Robins, and was awarded his Premier League debut when he was named in Wolves’ starting lineup to take on Newcastle.
The Ivorian defender will be thankful his manager missed one of his first contributions though.

Emmanuel Agbadou gets away with debut Wolves mistake
Despite being one of Wolves’ better players against Bristol City, Agbadou was obviously feeling the nerves against the Magpies.
Forming part of a three-man backline, the former Stade Reims star, whose technical ability Pereira has already praised, is going to be expected to initiate attacks from the back.
Keen to follow his manager’s instructions, Agbadou attempted to play a forward ball in the opening minutes against Newcastle but badly misplaced his pass.
“That’s a loose one from Emmanuel Agbadou,” TNT Sports commentator Rory Hamilton said live on air.
Co-commentator Glenn Hoddle added: “He might have got away with that one, the centre-back — his manager was writing his notes. He didn’t see it.”
Although Agbadou got lucky with his first error, the Wolves manager did look up in time to clock his next.
Vitor Pereira has already warned of consequences
Replicating his earlier mistake, Agbadou made another passing error minutes later and this time Pereira did see.
“He’s got to settle himself down a bit. He’s put the ball out of play a couple of times. It makes you a little bit nervy,” Hamilton said.
Even though Agbadou’s string of mistakes won’t please his manager, it’s still very early days so patience will be exercised.
Pereira has already warned Agbadou about losing his concentration and that in the Premier League it can lead to goals being conceded.
Given the ruthlessness of the teams in the Premier League, the Wolves boss will know his new signing can’t make a habit of misplacing his passes.
