Wolves started brightly against Arsenal but were almost the architects of their own downfall after allowing Kai Havertz a free header on Jose Sa’s goal.
The Old Gold are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the Premier League table and must start picking up points if they’re to avoid being relegated.
And although some pundits tipped Arsenal to comfortably beat Wolves, Vitor Pereira’s men started very well and could have opened the scoring through Pablo Sarabia after just nine minutes.
The Gunners also came close to scoring after Havertz was gifted a great opportunity from close range.

Vitor Pereira furious on touchline
Gifted the chance to put the Gunners one-nil up, Havertz was allowed a free header from a matter of yards out.
Although the German put his effort just wide of Sa’s goalpost, Pereira was absolutely fuming on the Molineux touchline.
“Vitor Pereira was incredibly unhappy with Wolves as they allowed Kai Havertz to head wide,” Nick Mashiter wrote in BBC Sport’s live blog.
“The manager was shouting and slapping his hands together in frustration after the narrow escape.”
The 56-year-old’s passionate response would’ve pleased fans in attendance, who are doing their bit to drive the team forward in the hope they can pull off what would be one of the biggest upsets of the season.
Big second half
At the time of writing, the deadlock hasn’t been broken.
Both sides are still looking to make the breakthrough, and even though Wolves will be thankful Havertz fluffed his lines, there is genuine optimism following a decent, and more importantly, goalless, first half.
Pereira has been forced to make an early sub after Jorgen Strand Larsen had to come off. Hwang Hee-chan replaced him, and after an abysmal few weeks, will be desperate to repay fans.
