Hugo Bueno will soon reunite with Wolves after spending the 2024/25 season on loan at Feyenoord.
The wait for the Spaniard to touch base at Molineux is not yet over, as Bueno is currently at the U21 European Championships.
Bueno impressed at Feyenoord over the 2024/25 campaign, starring in the Champions League before becoming a player valued highly by Robin van Persie.
Vitor Pereira will assess Bueno in pre-season, in what has been a hectic summer for the defender, whose break has been delayed due to international duty.

Hugo Bueno impresses for Spain U21
During his loan in the Netherlands, Bueno kept a firm eye on Wolves, having signed a new deal in the West Midlands before spending a season with Feyenoord.
After Wolves sold Rayan Ait-Nouri, all eyes have been on what the left-back could offer once he returns to Molineux now that there’s a vacancy in Pereira’s starting XI.
The Wolves manager will be relieved that Gary O’Neil sent Bueno on loan to develop, as there’s already evidence to suggest that the full-back’s game is elevating.

Currently at the U21 Euros, Bueno impressed in Spain’s 2-1 win over Romania, playing 90 minutes as he gave Pereira a glimpse of what he can offer at Wolves.
As seen through his numbers, Bueno showed defensive stability while imposing himself further forward, two things that Wolves will be eager to see in Ait-Nouri’s absence.
One of the most impressive things about the defender’s performance is that Bueno misplaced just one pass in 90 minutes, emphasising the level of security he upheld on the left side.
Wolves will be eager to have Bueno back
Still only 22, Bueno’s Wolves career has already taken several twists and turns.
Julen Lopetegui preferred the Spaniard over Ait-Nouri during the 2022/23 season, but when O’Neil arrived, he was forced to take the back seat.
Having spread his wings on loan to perfect his craft, Bueno will now return to Wolves with the knowledge that he can be Pereira’s first choice now that his former teammate has departed.
Pre-season will be crucial for the left-back to show his value to the boss, but first, the U21 Euros will be his priority.
