Wolves have lost their Premier League game against Burnley – and Vitor Pereira has just fielded a question about his future.
It was a game that many – including Vitor Pereira himself – had suggested was must-win for Wolves
But Wolves have done the unthinkable and lost, conceding right at the death to Lyle Foster meaning it finished 3-2 to the Clarets.
Wolves showed good character to come from 2-0 down to go in at half-time at 2-2. But Wolves just did not push on and couldn’t break Burnley down in the second-half and, as Wolves ran out of puff, Burnley came alive to condemn Pereira to yet another defeat.
There were unsavoury scenes at Molineux at the end, as Pereira and the players bore the frustration of the South Bank.
Seemingly, they had gone over to apologise, but the fans were furious.
After that, Pereira then went inside to do his immediate post-match reaction for Sky Sports – and the Portuguese fielded a question about his job.
Vitor Pereira responds when asked about pressure on his job after Burnley defeat

Wolves fans have been growing increasingly worried about the state of play at Molineux recently.
Even when there were signs of improvement Wolves were still not winning in the Premier League, and now it’s nine games without victory.
Wolves have not won a game of Premier League football since April against Leicester City, and Pereira is surely under big pressure to keep his job.
And he was actually asked about that by Sky Sports after the game.
He said: “This is not a question for me. I do my work, I do the best I can to help my team. My mind is to do everything, to work in the details, to work with the mentality of the players, to work tactically, to give them the confidence to play. To press Burnley’s team, to try to score. Until the end we show our ambition that we want to win the game.
“But this is the Premier League, this is football.”
Pereira now under huge pressure after Burnley defeat
Wolves fans are seething after today’s result.
The game was dubbed a must-win by the manager, and he has failed to deliver.
He took a big gamble with the starting XI he chose to face Burnley, but the result was still the same. Wolves lost the game, and there were yet more bizarre in-game decisions from the Portuguese.
Fer Lopez not getting a single minute, when Wolves were trying to break Burnley down, was perplexing.
Tolu Arokodare arguably came in much too late.
Fans will now wait to see what happens in light of this performance and result, but Pereira’s days at Molineux could well be numbered.
