Wolves are now out of the Carabao Cup after losing to Chelsea, and after the game Vitor Pereira held his hands up over one aspect of the game.
Wolves’ full focus can now be on the Premier League after losing 4-3 to the Blues at Molineux.
It was an awful start to the game, with Chelsea going 2-0 up after just 15 minutes through Andrey Santos and Tyrique George.
Estevao then added a second just before half-time, giving Wolves a mountain to climb.
But Wolves did try to climb that mountain, and put in a courageous second-half performance.
They got it back to 3-2 through Tolu Arokodare and David Moller Wolfe, and a red card for Liam Delap potentially opened the door for a full comeback.
But a Jamie Gittens goal made it 4-2, and it gave Wolves too much to do, even though Moller Wolfe scored again.
After the chaotic game, Pereira made an admission regarding the first-half.

Vitor Pereira takes responsibility for first-half Wolves mistakes vs Chelsea

Pereira’s starting XIs are always very difficult to predict.
Last night, it was inevitable that there would be a number of changes, but Pereira shocked fans by changing the whole XI.
Among those 11 changes were six defenders, and Emmanuel Agbadou started the game in midfield before moving back into the defence.
It was simply too easy for Chelsea in the first-half, and after the game Pereira admitted responsibility for Wolves’ mistakes.
He said: “It’s not easy for a team losing 3-0. In the first-half, my responsibility. I changed and it’s not normal to change 11 players and I did it because we have three games in a very short space of time and I decide to change.
“That means it’s my responsibility. I assume the mistakes in the first-half. At half-time, we spoke about showing the resilience and the speed that they showed to me in training and playing with courage and quality. And we showed it in the second-half, our best version and best face.”
Pereira’s decisions gave Wolves too much to do

The players deserve credit for the fight they showed against Chelsea.
To have been 3-0 down at half-time and have played so poorly must have been very demoralising.
But they made the scoreline respectable in the end, raising their level as a collective in the second-half.
Ultimately, Pereira’s bold starting lineup didn’t pay off, and it gave Wolves too much to do in the game.
Fans will appreciate Pereira’s admission, and hope that he doesn’t overcomplicate things to such a degree as this going forward.
