Tolu Arokodare was able to create a goal for Wolves against Liverpool with his header forcing Alisson to parry the ball in the direction of Santiago Bueno.
The Nigerian has had a tough time breaking into the starting XI, but he has now had a big impact in the final third in two of the last three games.
His partnership up top with Mateus Mane, who earned praise from the opposition supporters, provided a bright spark for the Old Gold.
However, despite the promising goal early in the second half, the Wanderers were unable to turn the game around.
Tolu Arokodare has now spoken out after the defeat.
Who let down Wolves the most vs Liverpool?
Tolu Arokodare feels Wolves finally played like a team vs Liverpool

Wolves have been accused of playing like a team of strangers before, but in the second half at Anfield, Tolu Arokodare believes the opposite was true.
While the game ended in defeat, the forward took the positives from a resilient performance, where Wolves were the better side in the second half against Liverpool.
The Old Gold were on the back foot for much of the first half, and going down 2-0 was certainly inevitable, but when the teams came out from the break, there was a shift in Wolves’ intentions, and Tolu Arokodare felt that.
Speaking with BBC Match of the Day, the forward said, “Another defeat, but the second half was way better than the first. We scored, created more chances, had more of the ball and played more like a team – and I think that is the positive we have to take into the next game.”
Agree or Disagree: Tolu Arokodare MUST be Wolves’ starting striker going forward! 🤔
He offered more up front vs Liverpool than Strand Larsen has for most of the season.
Rob Edwards will be disappointed, but the Wanderers were never expected to come away from Anfield with any points.
However, with the Old Gold 16 points off 17th place in the Premier League, the Championship continues to look like a stark reality next season.
Even in these games where Wolves are major underdogs, if they want to stay up, they must begin surprising opponents, and Tolu Arokodare is also well aware of that.

Tolu Arokodare hits nail on the head in relegation fight

Wolves can put their heads down and limp towards the finish line come May, or they can lace their boots and have a real go in matches
Frankly, right now, every team in the Premier League appears to have more quality than the Wanderers, but that should not scare the squad.
They must go into each and every game believing they can get a result and not worrying about who is in front of them.
Arokodare epitomises that belief after he said, “Of course it’s not easy playing here at Anfield and then going to Old Trafford – but the teams don’t really matter; we’re going to try and go into that game how we finished this game.”
It has been the story of Rob Edwards’ tenure so far. There have been glimpses of positivity in games, but they have not been able to extract that for a full 90 minutes so far.
If the head coach can get his team performing throughout a whole match rather than just a fraction of it, the results can turn around.
