Wolves were excellent on Saturday afternoon as they faced Spurs at Molineux, during the 2-1 win Gary O’Neil was praised on commentary.
Wolves looked set for another disappointing defeat despite playing well enough to win, a story we have seen all too regularly this season.
But the Old Gold may have left it late but in dramatic fashion won the game 2-1, which sent Gary O’Neil bolting down the touchline in euphoria.
Mario Lemina grabbed the winner in the 97th minute after Pablo Sarabia equalised in the 91st.
The result meant O’Neil would head into the third international break of the season with 15 points in hand as he takes this Wolves side from strength to strength.

O’Neil praised by Ward
During Saturday’s game at Molineux, TNT Sports commentator Lucy Ward gave her verdict on O’Neil’s time at Wolves thus far.
“He had some criticism at the start Gary O’Neil but I think the way he sets his team up the structure, I think he’s improved players.
“For a whole year, they didn’t get a goal from a striker but he’s got players scoring.” Adding to the praising review, Ward then continued to laud O’Neil.
“Really really good development from him he’s shown himself to be really really tactically astute in the way he’s set up his team.”
Impressive Wolves form continues
After last weeks loss to Sheffield United, it was pivotal to not lose again here.
Playing title contenders Spurs, it was always going to be a tough day for the home side, however they in a way made Spurs look really poor.
More chances and by far the better side, Wolves got what they deserved late on and it continues an excellent run of form.
In the last six games, Wolves have won three, drawn two and lost one, in controversial fashion to Sheffield United.
