Three bold predictions for Wolves vs Nottingham Forest, including Gibbs-White red card

Wolves are in action tonight against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League – and Rob Edwards is hoping it’ll be third time lucky.

Wolves fell to another defeat at the weekend, losing 1-0 to Aston Villa.

It was a decent performance from Wolves though, and Edwards did find several positives from the performance.

Tonight is a must-win game for the Old Gold, against a team who are hovering just above the relegation zone.

The Reds have improved under Sean Dyche, but this is definitely an opportunity to get points on the board – and ahead of kick-off, we at Molineux News have come up with three bold predictions.

Given the performance against Villa, and the fact this game is at Molineux, it feels like tonight could be the night Wolves finally win in the Premier League in 2025/26.

Forest definitely carry a number of threats.

And their form has been good since Dyche came in, so there is no doubt that this will be a challenge.

But we are predicting it’ll be third time lucky for Edwards, who has been saying all the right things and has prompted an improvement since he came in.

The Wolves players have sprinted more since Edwards arrived, and if that raised intensity can be replicated tonight, then it might lead to a narrow victory.

Morgan Gibbs-White gets a red card

What do you make of Morgan Gibbs-White’s reason for leaving Wolves?🤔

“I started the Chelsea game and then for the next match I was on the bench. You need to give young players confidence to show what they are about. That is why I didn’t see a future at Wolves any more.”

It’s safe to say there is no love lost between many Wolves fans and former player Morgan Gibbs-White.

Fans used to adore Gibbs-White when he was at Molineux, and hoped he would be a big part of the club’s future, with his exciting potential.

But since Wolves cashed in on him in 2022 there have been a number of flashpoints involving him and the fans.

His fingers-in-ears celebrations have prompted fury, and he will surely be booed tonight.

He’ll be fired up, so perhaps this increases the chances of a few wild challenges going in, and we are boldly predicting MGW will receive his marching orders in tonight’s game.

Jackson Tchatchoua will score or assist

Tchatchoua still hasn’t entirely convinced Wolves fans since he came in from Hellas Verona in the summer.

The potential is there, because that blistering pace of his is a serious weapon.

But it has sometimes felt this season as though Tchatchoua has been playing with the handbrake on. A player as physically blessed as he is should be wreaking more havoc than he currently is.

Tchatchoua has been surprisingly left out of Cameroon’s AFCON squad, and that had to have come as a huge disappointment to the player.

But we feel he actually may use this as fuel tonight against Forest, and we may finally see him play with the shackles off.

His showing against Villa was much better and he created a few good chances, so we’re backing him to either score or assist tonight at Molineux.
