The starting Wolves XI Rob Edwards should pick vs Crystal Palace

Wolves have been gearing up for their clash with Crystal Palace, with the hope of finally putting an end to their dismal away form.

The team head to Selhurst Park on the back of a spirited midweek draw against Arsenal, which saw them come from two goals down to snatch a point right at the death.

That result may have injected a bit of optimism into the squad as they aim to halt their winless streak on the road.

With Crystal Palace having stuttered in the Premier League in recent months, there is a genuine opportunity today for Wolves.

However, Palace have proven to be a formidable opponent at home, having won eight of their last 10 encounters against Wolves.

How Wolves should line up vs Crystal Palace

Wolves still have Hwang Hee-chan and Toti Gomes out injured for this game, although the defender has now returned to training.

Angel Gomes was forced off early against Arsenal but his issue isn’t serious and he’s available to play.

In goal, Jose Sa should keep his place, and it makes little sense to make any changes to the back three of Yerson Mosquera, Santiago Bueno and Ladislav Krejci.

Jackson Tchatchoua was very poor against Arsenal and must be dropped for Rodrigo Gomes. Hugo Bueno could be rotated out, but he certainly deserves to start after such a fine goal against the Gunners.

In midfield, Joao Gomes and Andre should start as a pairing, given Angel Gomes may not be fully sharp after his knock against Arsenal.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Mateus Mane may make sense as a pair of 10s behind Tolu Arokodare, who did well against Arsenal after he came on in a tactical shift prompted by Angel Gomes’ injury.

Wolves starting XI vs Palace: Sa/Mosquera, S.Bueno, Krejci/R.Gomes, J.Gomes, Andre, H.Bueno/Mane/ Bellegarde/Arokodare.

Big chance for Wolves to surpass Derby point tally

Palace are not in a great spot right now, so Wolves definitely have a chance to pick up a rare three points.

It was a good show of character in midweek to take a point against Arsenal, and we need that level of intensity and commitment again today.

Wanderers’ awful recent record against Palace will make it a challenge. But hopefully the potential to finally surpass Derby County’s 2007/08 points tally will serve as fuel at Selhurst Park.
