Wolves are looking to make it three Premier League wins on the spin against Brentford on Monday.

Rob Edwards’ team have recorded back-to-back victories over Aston Villa and Liverpool to move up to 16 points.

The Old Gold are now 12 from safety with eight games remaining and while relegation is still very likely, some optimism has crept in about the greatest of escapes.

Hugo Bueno thinks Wolves need to win every game to survive, and that really would be quite something.

Edwards is simply keen to just take it one game at a time and see what happens, and next up are Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.

And here’s a team the manager should consider.

How Wolves should set up vs Brentford

Jose Sa is still struggling with an ankle injury, but has been doing light training and will hopefully be passed fit.

The trio of Yerson Mosquera, Santiago Bueno and Ladislav Krejci is Wolves’ best backline combination at the moment.

At wing-back, there is scope for Rodrigo Gomes to replace Jackson Tchatchoua, who has improved of late. The Portuguese scored in the wins over Villa and Liverpool and deserves a chance to start.

On the opposite side, Hugo Bueno ought to continue having been very consistent of late.

Andre, Joao Gomes and Mateus Mane will likely be the midfield. While Mane could perhaps do with a rest with his influence having waned recently, Edwards hinted he’ll stick with the youngster for this game.

Of course after this game, there will be a big break for Mane to recuperate.

Up top, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde is the player who can make things happen for Wolves in and around the final third, and should be the support player for Adam Armstrong, who’s made a bright start at Molineux since his mid-season move.

If this is the exact team that Edwards goes with, then it would mean four changes to the side that started the FA Cup game with Liverpool.

Wolves (3-5-2): Sa/Mosquera, S.Bueno, Krejci/R.Gomes, Andre, J.Gomes, Mane, H.Bueno/Bellegarde, Armstrong.
