Steven Gerrard was left blown away by Wolves’ show of fight amid their recent upturn in form which saw them defeat Liverpool at Molineux.
After beating Aston Villa, the Old Gold have gone and taken three more points, edging the reigning Premier League champions 2-1.
Rodrigo Gomes gave Wolves the lead, before Mo Salah equalised.
But Wolves found a dramatic late winner through Andre, prompting scenes of bedlam and Rob Edwards to once again run down the touchline in ecstasy.
After the game, Steven Gerrard showered praise on the work Edwards has done of late.
Steven Gerrard impressed by Rob Edwards’ recent work as Wolves stun Liverpool

Gerrard said after the game on TNT Sports: “He’s brought a lot of optimism and belief, certainly for the supporters – the place was rocking at the end of the game.
“He’s brought a lot, he won’t say that because he’s a very humble man. You can see he’s still emotional while he’s getting asked them questions. He should enjoy the night.
“I thought his substitutions, the timing of them and the bravery… I thought he was excellent tonight from a coaching point of view.
“He must be immensely proud of his players because to a man they were fighting for him – that’s the most impressive side of it. Defensively they’re putting bodies on the line, they’re all tenacious, they’re all digging in.
“They’ve got talent in the team, and that always gives you a chance. They’re dangerous on the counter, they’ve got some speed and some talented players.
“I think the optimism and belief around the stadium, when you look at the bigger picture, I think there’s a lot of hope.”
Edwards deserves his flowers
It is great to see Edwards’ labour finally bearing fruit.
Many questioned why he took the job having been doing well at Middlesbrough and given Wolves’ position.

It really was the impossible job, and the likelihood is that Wolves will still fall short in terms of surviving in the Premier League.
But Wolves look to be in good hands with Edwards for the long term.
