Wolverhampton Wanderers were poor last night, but came away from St. James’ Park with a point.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side once again drew 1-1 with Newcastle United, and that was probably a fair result in the end.
The Magpies are scrapping for their Premier League lives down at the bottom, and there was clear urgency from them especially in the first-half.

It was largely a poor performance from the Wanderers, aside from Adama Traore and Pedro Neto, and the team didn’t really get going until Neves’ equaliser.
The wind was then in Wolves’ sails for the remainder of the game, but they couldn’t find a winner.
Youngster Fabio Silva saw his header from point-black range saved by Martin Dubravka, and some have taken aim at the teenager for missing.
But it was brilliant movement to make the space, and it was undeniably a great stop from the Slovakian.

£80,000-a-week starlet Silva (Spotrac) was bright when he came on, and arguably did more in the game than Willian Jose, who is now at eight games without scoring since joining on loan.
Jose really struggled to get involved, and has come in for criticism on social media after the game.
Although he arguably did create some space for Neves on the goal, there seemed to be a lack of pressing from the Brazilian centre-forward, and some fans questioned his effort level in comparison to Silva:
i’d much rather us play silva, i know he’s not ready yet but he gets into the positions unlike jose, runs more than jose and gets involved more than jose. i can’t see jose scoring at all this season

I’d go for Fabio purely because Jose isn’t working hard enough without the ball.

At least Fabio is trying, Jose is just at Wolves to run down his Sociedad contract

Want Fabio to start against city ngl did more in 10 mins than jose did all game

Actually looks like he’s desperate to score, which is a good start. Jose seems quite lethargic.

I have expected a lot more from Jose. I would not mind a swap. Let Fabio start and have Willian come off the bench.

Totally agree…Jose was non existent and we pretty much played with 10 men this evening. Silva despite his critics, continues to move around and get himself into great positions…the lad certainly has desire and enthusiasm. Don’t think we should make Jose a permanent signing
