Sean Dyche claims VAR made a ‘wrong’ decision during Wolves vs Nottingham Forest

Wolves have now gone 14 games without a win in the Premier League after defeat against Nottingham Forest.

It was a performance that Wolves fans have become far too used to seeing at Molineux this season, with zero quality going forward and such negativity in possession.

Jhon Arias had a golden opportunity with the score at 0-0, but typical of his season, he failed to find the back of the net with his header.

It’s clear that Wolves fans have already written off this season after yet another Premier League defeat, and who can blame them.

Paying your hard-earned money, week in, week out, just to go and see a team that looks like they’re the underdog in an FA Cup giant-killer clash, trying to get a shock win.

Sean Dyche claims Nottingham Forest were wronged vs Wolves

VAR played a huge part during Wolves vs Nottingham Forest, but not in a good way.

It almost felt like VAR was looking for any slight reason to give a penalty against Wolves on a couple of occasions, with checks wasting countless minutes.

The biggest incident was the disallowed goal for Igor Jesus in the first-half. It took VAR five whole minutes to come to a decision on whether Dan Ndoye was blocking the view of Sam Johnstone.

And to add to the circus, Sean Dyche is now claiming that VAR made the wrong decision.

Sean Dyche claims Nottingham Forest were wronged vs Wolves ❌

“He [Dan Ndoye] doesn’t move, he’s just standing there – where do you want him to stand? I don’t think the keeper saves it whether he sees it or not but it’s gone against us. I don’t see the point of it.

“I’m bound to say tonight was wrong because on another night it could’ve cost us but thankfully it didn’t.”

Jhon Arias incident vs Aston Villa

Jorgen Strand Larsen found the back of the net against Aston Villa in matchday 13, but it was ruled out due to VAR adjudging Jhon Arias to have impeded the view of the goalkeeper.

Now, it did look like Arias partly had an effect on Emi Martinez in the Aston Villa goal. However, it was far less obvious than Igor Jesus’ incident this evening.

Ndoye was directly in the line of sight of Sam Johnstone, and you could even see the shock in his reactions as the ball went past him into the back of the net.

The fact that it took five minutes out of the game to come to a decision that looked so obvious to everyone in attendance speaks volumes about the state of VAR right now.

Wolves fans, what do you make of VAR?🤔
