Wolves have tonight lost in the Premier League for the first time in 2022.
Wanderers were beaten by Arsenal 1-0 at Molineux, with Gabriel scoring the game’s only goal
Wolves were decent in possession in the game. But there was, again, a lack of bite in the final third.

Wolves created a lot of chances and put in many crosses.
But Aaron Ramsdale was not really massively tested across the 90 minutes.
It is a frustrating one to take for Wolves, especially having played against 10 men for the last 20 minutes or so after Gabriel Martinelli was sent off.
Wolves tried to break Arsenal down but there was no way through.
It was undoubtedly a big result for Arsenal in the context of their own top four hopes.
After the game, Neves couldn’t help but comment on the fact that the Arsenal players and staff had celebrated wildly at the final whistle.
He said (quoted by Mirror journalist Alex Richards): “We saw the way they celebrated the win & that shows the level we are. I didn’t see Arsenal celebrating like this in the past 10 years – it was like they won the league.”
Wolves need to find that cutting edge
It was obviously a huge result for Arsenal, and a hard one to take for Wolves.

Neves will no doubt have been feeling very frustrated at the end of the game.
Ultimately, Wolves have simply got to improve in the final third.
The team is creating chances, but the actual quality of those chances is largely poor.
