Rob Edwards was left to rue one decision in Aston Villa vs Wolves, as his side fell to yet another defeat.
Wolves have now gone 17 games without a win in the Premier League, stretching back to last season, and the loss to Villa was frustrating.
Wolves played well, especially in the first-half when they were knocking the ball around with confidence.
Who do you think was Wolves’ best performer in the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa?
There was some lovely intricate play at times, and then Wolves thought they’d taken the lead through Jorgen Strand Larsen. But the goal was ruled out after Jhon Arias was deemed to be offside in front of Emi Martinez and obstructing him.
Yerson Mosquera also came close, with Martinez somehow keeping his header out.
But the difference in the game was when Boubacar Kamara scored for Villa with a fine strike from the edge of the Wolves box.
However, there was some controversy about the goal due involving Joao Gomes.
Rob Edwards frustrated no foul was given on Joao Gomes before Aston Villa scored

So far it really has just been a season to forget for Wolves.
The team have been poor, but it’s remarkable how many stunning goals the Old Gold have shipped.
Against Villa there was another from Kamara. But he may never have had the chance to score had Chris Kavanagh blown for a foul on Joao Gomes in the build up.
Speaking about the incident after the game, Edwards’ feelings were clear.
He said: “He obviously just didn’t think it was. I watched it back and I think it is, but the game happens quickly and he’s made that decision.
“I thought he got a lot of the big decisions right today, and maybe that was one that went against us.”
The challenge came from Morgan Rogers in Villa’s third of the pitch. The ball got turned over, with Villa scoring through Kamara around 30 seconds later.
Replays showed Rogers clearly trod on Gomes’ foot.
Strangely though, there were hardly any appeals from Wolves players.

Wolves should have put the game to bed
It was frustrating that Kavanagh did not blow up for a foul, considering he had a pretty good view of it.
But ultimately, even with Gomes out of commission, Wolves should have defended better, both out wide and there should have been a player closer to Kamara in the middle.
The verdict is in for the Old Gold players…
And even before this happened, Wolves had chances to take the lead in the game.
Villa were there for the taking today after Wolves enjoyed a really solid first-half. And it is a crying shame that the Old Gold couldn’t breach Martinez’s goal.
