Wolves are taking on Everton in the Premier League on Wednesday night – and Rob Edwards has today given an injury update on Joao Gomes and Hwang Hee-chan.
Wanderers are looking to build on the brilliant 3-0 win over West Ham United on Saturday.
The Old Gold produced a fine display at Molineux, and that win had perhaps been coming given the performances against Liverpool and Manchester United.
Which way do you see Wolves’ showdown against Everton going?
But the win appeared to come at a bit of a cost.
Both Joao Gomes and Hwang Hee-chan were replaced during the game due to knocks they picked up.
Rob Edwards was hopeful Gomes and Hwang’s injuries wouldn’t be serious, and ahead of tomorrow night’s game with Everton, the boss has now given a new update on the pair.
Joao Gomes and Hwang Hee-chan set to play for Wolves vs Everton

As it was Wolves’ best performance of the season, it could be that Edwards wants to go unchanged against Everton.
Consistency is key, and every player that started against West Ham would deserve to keep their place.
But what about Gomes and Hwang after they were withdrawn at the weekend?
Well, it looks like they are both going to be available, with Rob Edwards confirming at his press conference this afternoon that they have trained ahead of the game.
Journalist Liam Keen quoted him as saying: “Joao and Hwang trained today and we’re hoping they will be alright. We won’t have anyone else back that was missing but they’re progressing.”
The issues they sustained – groin for Gomes, calf for Hwang – were not serious, and both will be in contention to start against Everton.
Positive news for Wolves ahead of Everton
This is the update that a lot of Wolves fans had been hoping for.
Gomes may well be Wolves’ best player, and the energy he brings in midfield is so important. The Brazilian has really stepped up his game in recent weeks.
Here’s how Wolves have fared recently vs Everton!
A mixed bag but surely this game is an opportunity, Wolves fans? 🤔
And Hwang provided two goal involvements against West Ham, to take him to 30 in the Premier League, which is a respectable achievement.
He’s another player who’s responded well to the arrival of Edwards, and he would be deserving of another start against Everton.
