Mateus Mane stole the show once again for Wolves with a classy display against West Ham.
Wolves managed to secure their first win of the season in what was a complete shock display after consistency issues up until this point.
Rob Edwards made one change from the team that held Manchester United to a draw by bringing in Santiago Bueno for Matt Doherty.
It worked wonders as the Old Gold were superb from start to finish, scoring three first-half goals and looking completely untroubled in defence. Mateus Mane, Hwang Hee-chan, and Jhon Arias all found themselves on the scoresheet.
The second half was much more of the same, pressing forward and giving the Hammers no space.
But the question is, where has this Wolves side been all season?
Michael Brown says everyone will soon know about Mateus Mane
Mateus Mane has taken the Premier League by storm.
That is now two assists and a goal in the top-flight this season, just a matter of weeks after being properly introduced by Rob Edwards.
But his West Ham display was undoubtedly his best yet.
Michael Brown certainly agreed as he gave him the highest of praise, as well as predicting that everyone will know about the youngster real soon (as per BBC live blog).
“Mateus Mane had no right to take this ball like he did. He has no fear. Near post, so direct, bottom corner, a wonderful goal for the youngster.”
How good can Mateus Mane become at Wolves?👏🏻
