Wolves got back to winning ways in style in the Premier League, blowing away Chelsea at Stamford Bridge today.
Gary O’Neil‘s side put in a fine performance at Stamford Bridge today, with the manager masterminding a 4-2 win and getting his team selection and game plan spot on.
It was as though the 4-3 defeat to Manchester United in midweek was serving as fuel today, with Wanderers superior all over the park.
Chelsea actually took the lead through Cole Palmer, but Wolves hit back quickly through Matheus Cunha. Axel Disasi then scored an own goal after Pedro Neto had crossed for Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Neto then set up Cunha for a third in the second-half.
Cunha grabbed his first hat-trick in English football from the penalty spot, with Thiago Silva adding a second for Chelsea just before injury-time, with Wolves then seeing the game out.
The front three were a nightmare for Chelsea, and it really was a top away performance from Wolves.
Pedro Neto dazzles in Wolves’ win over Chelsea

There were superb performances all over the pitch today for Wolves, but Neto was probably the real standout for the visitors.
The Portuguese forward largely played through the middle, but roamed around as did Matheus Cunha and Pablo Sarabia.
And simply put, Neto was a complete thorn in the side of the Chelsea defenders all day.
Neto will technically only one get one assist today, but his work all afternoon was brilliant. The pace he showed on the second goal to get the the byline was frightening, and very typical of what he is all about.
Nizaar Kinsella reported that Neto ‘destroyed’ three Chelsea players down their left side, two of which were big money signings; the £106 million Enzo Fernandez and the £50 million Ben Chillwell. Thiago Silva (free) was the other player unable to get near him.
Neto unplayable
Cunha will grab the headlines for his hat-trick, but this was some performance from Neto.
The 23-year-old frightened the life out of the Chelsea defence today, and it was the kind of display that clubs will remember when the transfer window opens again this summer.
It was been extremely ecnouraging to see how quickly Neto has been able to find form again after his injury.
He was on the sidelines for a number of week with a hamstring injury and other players might have taken more time to get up to speed. But he looks sharper than ever, and O’Neil must be absolutely delighted.
