Wolves travel to Chelsea on Monday night for the final fixture of gameweek 22.
It’s been a sobering couple of games for Vitor Pereira, who has seen his Wolves side lose by a 3-0 scoreline against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.
The defeat on Wednesday night starts a run of games that have caused Pereira sleepless nights, as the Old Gold entertain Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Liverpool in their next four.
Wolves could easily take zero points from those fixtures but they have to find a way to snatch some positive results, otherwise, they could give themselves a mountain to climb in the fight to avoid relegation.
Pereira’s men travel to a Chelsea side who are admittedly winless in their last three league games but have the quality in Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson to quickly turn their fortunes around.

Paul Merson predicts an easy win for Chelsea vs Wolves
Ahead of the showdown at Stamford Bridge, Paul Merson has predicted the hosts to secure an ‘easy’ 3-0 win, stating if the Blues played anything like they did in the first half against Bournemouth, they would blow the visitors away.
“I’ll be there to watch this game at Stamford Bridge on Monday night and I can’t see anything but a win for Chelsea,” Merson wrote in his column for Sportskeeda.
“Wolves have gone back to being where they were before. They did enjoy a bit of a run but that has now stopped. If Chelsea play anywhere near like how they played in the first half against Bournemouth, they will be easy winners.”
Chelsea only snatched a point against the Cherries thanks to a 95th-minute free-kick from Reece James, and Wolves will hope their opponents can have an off-day once more.
What happened when Wolves last played Chelsea at Stamford Bridge
The last time Wolves played Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Matheus Cunha ran riot with a hat-trick as his side clinched a 4-2 victory in February.
This was perhaps the pinnacle of Gary O’Neil’s time in charge as Wolves were in the mix for Europe at this point and had just booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
It was a perfect counter-attacking performance from the Old Gold and Shay Given praised Pedro Neto and Cunha for destroying Chelsea.
Ironically, Neto now plays for the Blues after sealing a £54m transfer from Molineux in the summer, and he’ll be looking to score against his former club.
On the other hand, Cunha will want to wreak havoc once more in West London, with the 25-year-old guaranteed to start after being left on the bench against Newcastle.
