‘N’Golo Kante’ – Wolves fans wowed by player who was ‘absolutely everywhere’ in Everton draw

Wolves picked up a point against Everton – and many fans were left very impressed by one player in particular.

Vitor Pereira’s side came away from Molineux with a good point in the end, and showed good character to get back into the game after falling a goal down.

Jack Harrison’s deflected strike put the Toffees ahead.

Fans would have been worried at that point, especially with having no Matheus Cunha.

But Wolves turned things around, with Jean-Ricner Bellegarde supplying a brilliant through ball to Marshall Munetsi to score his first Wolves goal. Unfortunately, Munetsi did then go off injured at half-time against Everton.

Wolves probed a lot and dominated possession in the game.

But ultimately, they found it very difficult to fashion clear-cut chances, which will be the big thing for Pereira to address going forward.

It was a positive display overall, leading pundit Joe Cole to predict Wolves to survive relegation.

One man Pereira must have been very pleased with last night was Andre.

Andre had superb statistics against Everton and once again showed what a fantastic player he is for this team.

Wolves had a lot of the ball against Everton and a lot of the play went through Andre.

He was always an option at the base of the midfield, and used the ball magnificently, and rarely got into trouble.

But Andre also covered a lot of ground, and on a couple of occasions, he could be seen cheering when making a successful ball recovery – which is something we’ve seen before.

On social media, fans were so impressed.

@DaveGreen1987 even compared Andre to N’Golo Kante, a played famed for being everywhere in games: “Bit of a disappointing result at home but as long as Leicester lose to Chelsea tomorrow it will have been a decent weekend for us. André is going to be a top player, last few games he reminds so much of N’Golo Kanté (big statement I know). Absolutely everywhere!

@catyler84 said: “That performance from Andre for #wwfc was an actual joke, unreal display..”

@Keiran_wwfc added: “Andre is unbelievable.”

@parker_bradley said: “Andre was nothing short of magnificent tonight. What a footballer. #wwfc

Andre continues to shine for Wolves

Since Pereira came in at Wolves, Andre seems to have gone to another level at Molineux.

It wasn’t quite working out under Gary O’Neil, who did always give him full games and actually didn’t always start him.

Andre is now pretty irreplaceable for Wolves, and his partnership with Joao Gomes is going from strength to strength.

People talk about Cunha being so key for Wolves in this battle against relegation. But Andre is starting to emerge as somebody just as important.
