Rayan Ait-Nouri got his first Premier League start of the season against Leeds at Elland Road today.
The young left wing-back repaid Bruno Lage’s faith with a great performance despite the late disappointment of Rodrigo’s stoppage time penalty.
Wolves were minutes away from winning four consecutive Premier League matches for the first time ever.
Hwang Hee-Chan’s first half goal was not quite enough to seal the three points in a hotly-contested match.

As per WhoScored, no Wolves player had more touches than Ait-Nouri’s 60.
He also made five tackles and two clearances as he won his battle with Brazilian international Raphinha.
Raphinha was forced off by injury in the second half but was not having much luck before that.
Wolves once again opted to sit back and soak up pressure and Ait-Nouri showed quality and maturity to play his part in that.

Reaction
Ait-Nouri’s performance drew deserved praise from some Wolves fans on Twitter before he was replaced by Ki-Jana Hoever on 82 minutes.
That switch meant Nelson Semedo came over to the left and it was the Portugal international who gave away the late spot-kick.
Ait-Nouri took the place of Marcal in the side and immediately offered more pace, dynamism and attacking threat.
He even got forward to get a shot on target away, and made an eye-catching burst forward around the 70 minute mark, but was unable to create a chance.
