Two Wolves stars competed in international fixtures last night as the Nations League and the World Cup Qualifiers get back underway.
Despite the club only being three games into the Premier League season, their campaign was quickly halted by the first international break.
While few people enjoy the stoppage, it could well work in Gary O’Neil’s favour as he aims to fix the club’s stuttering form.
12 Wolves players were called up for international duty, with the first games getting underway on Thursday night.
As a result, Molineux News has highlighted which two players competed last night and how they performed for their country.
How Wolves stars fared on international duty last night
Nelson Semedo in Portugal vs Croatia

Returning from their Euro 2024 campaign, Portugal were back in action in the Nations League on Thursday night as they took on Croatia.
While Nelson Semedo did not start, he did come off the bench at half-time as his country won the game 2-1.
SofaScore believes the right-back put in a solid performance, making two tackles and one key pass. However, he also lost possession three times and was dribbled past twice. As a result, he was awarded a 6.7 rating.
In comparison, Goal came to a different conclusion believing Semdo was one of the best players on the pitch. The article said: “[Semedo] showed a lot of attacking intent and was a threat every time he gallivanted forward.”
Therefore, the full-back was awarded with an 8/10 for his performance.

Hwang Hee-Chan in South Korea vs Palestine

Entering into the third round of their World Cup Qualifying campaign, South Korea did not get off to the best start in their group.
Hosting Palestine, they were unable to get the winning goal as the game ended 0-0.
While Hwang Hee-Chan did not start the match, he did come off the bench with 30 minutes left to try and find a winner.
The attacker was unable to complete this task, with his cameo being sub-par.
According to SofaScore, Hwang didn’t even have a shot and lost possession six times. While his passing accuracy was ok at 76%, he was unable to make an impact on the game resulting in a 6.6 rating.
