‘He is lightning’: Michael Dawson heaps praise on ‘magnificent’ Wolves ace

Wolves welcomed Manchester City to Molineux on Saturday in a shocking 2-1 win.

Welcoming last seasons treble winners, not many would have expected a home win at Molineux.

Gary O’Neil lined his boys up perfectly to capitalise on Manchester City missing Rodri through suspension.

Wolves effectively sat back and counter attacked the Citizens with the first goal coming through a Ruben Dias own goal.

It was the creation of this goal that left Michael Dawson speechless over one Wolves players talent.

Dawson praises Neto

Speaking on Sky Sports soccer Saturday, Michael Dawson was tasked with providing updates on the game at Molineux.

Following the opener which saw a Ruben Dias own goal put Wolves ahead, Dawson had this to say.

“He is lightning”, the former Spurs defender raved before continuing, “that’s magnificent from Neto.”

Dawson then added that Neto is the danger man from Wolves: “They’ve got a plan they’re going through Neto and Nathan Ake is gonna be scared.”

He’s still on fire

Neto has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season, and it shows no signs of stopping. He was a constant threat for Wolves and left City defender Nathan Ake reeling time after time.

Hugely impressive display from Neto in what could be a vital win for Wolves this season. The win brings them onto seven points, only two behind Manchester United.

The win also gives O’Neil and his side breathing room above the relegation places with a four point gap now seen.

No doubt there will be celebrations going on at Molineux tonight.
