Gary Lineker gives instant verdict on VAR decision in Wolves draw

Another week and another awful VAR decision which has this week gone against Wolves.

Wolves saw their hopes of grabbing all three points against Luton squandered through a Carlton Morris penalty.

But the status of the ‘handball’ which resulted in in the penalty has been heavily disputed.

The ball first hit Joao Gomes‘ knee before deflecting onto his hand which has left countless pundits gobsmacked that it was given as a penalty against Gary O’Neil‘s side.

Ultimately the penalty was the difference between three points and a draw for Wolves in what was a crucial game.

Gary Lineker reacts to VAR decision

Outraged by the decision, renowned pundit Gary Lineker took to social platform X to discuss his views.

He posted: “Another ludicrous handball penalty decision. On this occasion it’s gone against Wolves and in favour of Luton. Nuts.”

A reaction many have had to the draw which sees Wolves move onto four points while Luton grab their first Premier League point.

But VAR costing Wolves vital points which would have made a world of difference for their season.

Wolves devastated by VAR once again

This instance isn’t the first time Wolves have been stung this season already.

Week one with the Andre Onana foul which should have resulted in a late penalty for Wolves.

Without VAR making poor decisions Wolves would be a further three points in the league which could see them as high as 11th.

One thing we are sure of is that VAR needs a change and an apology later this week isn’t going to cut it.
