Wolves were defeated in the end by Liverpool despite a brilliant first-half.

Liverpool were lucky not to go into half-time in a worse position than they did, with Wolves not taking their chances.

Gary O’Neil was honest about this insisting his side had a few top chances that they missed.

But one thing he will have been delighted about was the performance of his number seven.

Pedro Neto was unstoppable for Old Gold down the left-wing and was time, after time making Joe Gomez look amateur.

He assisted the Wolves goal and easily could’ve had a couple more.

Pedro Neto amazing in defeat

Neto put a real marker down against Liverpool in regard to just how good he can be.

Assisting the opener, he also created four chances for his teammates.

He had a pass accuracy of 85% while completing three crosses.

Defensively he was also on top form as he made six recoveries, and really was the sole shining light for Wolves on a disappointing day.

Can he keep it up?

We all know that Neto is capable of a performance like that, but his consistency and injuries have always let him down.

He has everything to turn Wolves from relegation candidates into mid-table players.

However it is yet to be seen if he will be able to find that consistency needed to make it happen.

However with four assists now this season, he has certainly started brilliantly, as he leads the league for assists.

If he keeps this up, eventually the rest of the team will fall into line.
