Some fans have been reacting to the performance of Vitinha for the Portugal U21s against England last night.
The 21-year-old started against the Young Lions in Ljubljana, gaining some much needed minutes having featured little back at Wolves.
It was a great opportunity for Vitinha to show some of the more skeptical Wolves fans what he’s all about – and he did exactly that in the 2-0 victory.
My Revenge On Ben Foster
Vitinha was very lively, touching the ball 102 times which was more than anyone else on the pitch according to Sofascore.
He was very tidy in possession, completing 79/84 passes.
He made four accurate long passes out of six attempted, and also made three tackles and a couple of clearances to show his defensive side.
The star, on loan at Wolves from FC Porto, appeared to relish just being out on the pitch and having the chance to play a full game.

For one reason or another, he just hasn’t been able to do that consistently under Nuno back at Molineux so far.
Perhaps off the back of this performance though, the manager may start to trust him more.
On social media, lots of fans – both neutrals and Wolves supporters – were picking Vitinha out for praise for his confident display.
Class player, wolves do pick up some gems, amazing recruitment

I’ve been saying for quite a while that the kid is quality. If we don’t sign him we’ll miss out big time.

This Vitinha kid is everything that our midfield is missing…

PLAYER OF THE MATCH | 🇵🇹 Vitinha (21)
Again, another game where I wouldn’t mind picking another name. Total dominance from start to finish but the 21 yr old had the ball on strings tonight. A key factor in building from the back as he drops into those pockets of space, (1)

Vitinha’s genuinely flawless, no doubt in my mind he’ll be world class even after Nuno and Mendes tax

Vitinha is just a fabulous footballer

Vitinha has been used sporadically under this season, but performances like today prove he’s a special talent and give reason for Wolves to trigger their £18m purchase option. Did really well to link together midfield and attack and find Trincão/Pote/etc in dangerous positions.
