Fans in no doubt whatsoever about Wolves now after abysmal defeat to Nottingham Forest

Wolves have lost again in the Premier League, this time to Nottingham Forest – and supporters are livid.

Wolves lost 1-0 against Forest with Igor Jesus scoring the game’s only goal.

Fans actually had optimism going into this game, after we saw an improved performance against Aston Villa.

After yet another defeat, who was the most disappointing Wolves performer vs Nottingham Forest?

But Wolves turned in one of their worst attacking performances of the whole campaign.

In the first-half, Wolves were so timid and barely showed anything in the final third.

There was a brief period at the start of the second-half when Wolves threatened, and Jhon Arias really should have put the Old Gold 1-0 up, but missed a glorious headed chance.

Jesus then scored for Forest, with Sam Johnstone caught in absolute no man’s land.

On social media, fans have made their feelings crystal clear.

Wolves fans think there’s now no hope of Premier League survival

There had been some optimism after the defeat to Villa, because Wolves were genuinely a bit unlucky to come away with zero points.

But all that optimism appears to have now dissipated.

Tonight, Wolves’ performance was atrocious.

It was spineless and on social media, fans have let rip, with many feeling that this latest showing means there is simply no longer any hope of survival.

@EBlunt37102: “Can’t even find how bad we are funny, every game is like watching a car crash in real time. Looks like we have dragged 11 people off the street to try and play Premier League football, which is scandalous for a team who have been in the league for 8 seasons #wwfc.”

@stupolak82: “I knew we were bad but we’re actually even worse than I thought. Absolutely terrible going forward. Rob Edwards on borrowed time already #wwfc”

Joao Gomes’ yellow card vs Nottingham Forest means he is suspended for Wolves’ next game vs Man United 😔

Do Wolves stand any chance at all against United without Gomes?

@Tunni90: “Shocking once again. Can’t see where we score a goal let alone win a game! Going down as the worst premier league team ever! #wwfc”

@OriginalKamS: Absolutely zero confidence left in the team None of them want to shoot in and around the box and then mess up simple 3 yard passes instead. JSL especially bad at the end Relatively solid defensively but the confidence is causing individual slips as the game goes on.”

@bigmat1982: “Utter utter dross. Just relegate us now! #wwfc.”

@WWFC_CW: “If I’m honest, I don’t see us scoring no more than 2 goals this season. No forward runs or passes whatsoever. Relegate us now and end the season already #wwfc.”

Wolves are down

Unfortunately, it now feels impossible to see how this team stays up.

This game was always going to be a good measure of where Wolves were at under Edwards. And the reality is that there is simply not enough quality.

Wolves have paid the price for their transfer policy, with Fosun stripping the squad of top players and game-changers.

Wolves may have improved defensively, but it will not count for anything. Wolves don’t have a functioning attack, and it’s difficult to see how Edwards can change that.
