Conor Coady has hailed Max Kilman, after the Wolves star impressed once again – this time against Manchester City.

The 24-year-old lined up for his 18th appearance of the season at the Etihad Stadium.

DIVOCK ORIGI DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

Kilman has not missed a single minute so far in 2021/22 for Wolves.

And he reaffirmed his status as an undroppable player by putting in another colossal performance against the Premier League champions.

Wolves ultimately lost the game 1-0, with Raheem Sterling converting a controversially awarded penalty in the second-half.

But Kilman was just outstanding at the back for Wolves.

The Englishman was effortless in everything he did, breaking the lines with his passing and also bringing the ball out with confidence.

The star was also a real warrior. In the first-half he had a nasty clash of heads with Ruben Neves, resulting in the need for a bandage.

Despite being clattered, he recovered to put in a stellar display, and captain Coady lavished praise on his defensive colleague after the game.

He said: “Maxy’s been outstanding, he’s fantastic, a brilliant person, and he was unlucky with the header.

“We started to come into it and we got some belief a little bit towards the end, but it’s massively disappointing to speak to you off the back of a contentious decision.

Max Kilman is the real deal after sensational Manchester City showing

Coady is right – Max Kilman really has been outstanding for Wolves.

Yesterday was always going to be his biggest test. City are the Premier League leaders and reigning champions and have quality in abundance.

They might have exposed Kilman, but there was absolutely zero sign of that during yesterday’s game.

The former Maidenhead United youngster looked totally comfortable going up against world-class players.

Him shining in back-to-back games against Liverpool and City will hopefully have caught the attention of England boss Gareth Southgate.
