Confirmed Wolves XI vs Nottingham Forest as Rob Edwards goes down an intriguing route

Wolves face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League tonight – and the team news has just dropped!

Rob Edwards is looking for his first win at the third time of asking, with Wolves also hopeful of a first victory all season in the competition.

Wolves did well at times against Aston Villa on Sunday, and the hope is that there will be a similar level of performance against Forest, only more clinical.

Forest have improved of late under new manager Sean Dyche, and Wanderers are hoping for a similar impact from their man Edwards.

There’s a bit more optimism for fans ahead of this one, with Forest loitering just above the relegation zone.

And Wolves’ starting XI has now been shared ahead of a huge clash.

It felt highly likely that Rob Edwards would make changes tonight, given the quick turnaround.

But the Wolves manager has actually gone with an unchanged XI from the weekend.

Sam Johnstone keeps his place, and he has a three-man defence in front of him consisting of Yerson Mosquera, Emmanuel Agbadou and Toti Gomes.

Jackson Tchatchoua continues at right wing-back, with David Moller Wolfe also keeping his place on the left.

Joao Gomes and Andre are the midfield two.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Jhon Arias are supporting number 10s in behind Jorgen Strand Larsen.

There is a return to the squad for Matt Doherty, but the game has come too soon for Ladislav Krejci – who is back in light training – and Fer Lopez, who both missed out against Aston Villa with injuries.

With Doherty returning, that means Hugo Bueno misses out on a matchday squad for the first time this season.

Clearly, Edwards was pleased with what he saw against Villa despite the final result.

He will just hope that his side can be more ruthless in front of goal tonight and finally get a win on the board.
