Confirmed Wolves XI to face Fulham as Joao Gomes and Andre benched with nine changes made

Vitor Pereira has chosen his starting XI to face Fulham as he looks to secure Wolves’ first win of the Premier League season.

The Old Gold will be looking to bring in some confidence from their second-half performance against Chelsea on Wednesday night.

Fulham, like Wolves, are a team in terrible form. The Cottagers have lost their last four Premier League fixtures, and that provides some level of hope for a good result for Pereira.

The London side are down amongst the bottom of the league, as they sit in 17th place, just six points above the Wanderers.

History will encourage Vitor Pereira, as his side tend to do quite well against Fulham.

While the board is backing the Portuguese head coach, that could all change depending on today’s result.

And now the players set to start against Fulham have been announced.

Vitor Pereira was never going to play the same side as he did against Chelsea, and now he has made 9 changes.

Sam Johnstone comes back into the side after Jose Sa did not impress.

Ki-Jana Hoever, Santiago Bueno, Emmanuel Agbadou, Toti Gomes, and Hugo Bueno form a back five.

In midfield, Pereira has sprung quite the surprise. Ladislav Krejci, Marshall Munetsi, and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde form a three in the middle. Joao Gomes and Andre both start on the bench.

Jorgen Strand Larsen starts up top alongside Jhon Arias in what looks like a 3-5-2 formation.

Arokodare and David Moller Wolfe were pushing for a start, but they have to settle for potential minutes as substitutes.

Wolves must be brave

No matter who started, the message should have been the same. Go at this Fulham side.

The Cottagers struggle to keep clean sheets, and they are susceptible to conceding goals. With four losses on the bounce, there is no better time to face Marco Silva’s side.

The players must be brave in attack and not afraid of trying to make something happen.

A win could really turn the season around and change the entire outlook on this season for the Old Gold.

Let’s hope it happens.
