Wolves will be brimming with confidence as they head to Championship side Blackburn Rovers in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
It’s been some week for everyone associated with the football club. Wolves secured a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa last Saturday and then had a transfer deadline day to remember.
Two new players arrived in the shape of Nasser Djiga from Red Star Belgrade and Marshall Munetsi from Reims, completing Vitor Pereira’s business.
It’s also impossible to forget that Matheus Cunha signed a new contract before any clubs could make a late bid for him, with the Brazilian staying at Molineux till at least the summer.
Wolves will be looking to use the above as momentum when they travel to Ewood Park on Sunday, with Chris Sutton now making an interesting prediction.

Chris Sutton predicts Blackburn Rovers to beat Wolves in the FA Cup
Wolves beat Bristol City in the third round to book their place against another Championship side. Under John Eustace, Blackburn are doing well in the second tier and currently sit inside the play-off places.
Rovers will see a fixture against Premier League opposition as a chance to pull off an upset, and Sutton thinks this is a game where the 18th-place outfit could slip up.
Predicting Blackburn to win 2-1 after extra time, Sutton wrote in his BBC Sport column: This is one of the ties where you think there is a chance of an upset, because of what Wolves boss Vitor Pereira might do – does he go full pelt, or rest a few?
“Pereira will make some changes, I am sure of that, because staying in the Premier League will be his priority.
“As I say, I am not sure what the Wolves team selection will be like, but Pereira might want to build on last weekend’s win over Aston Villa.
“Based on that, and the fact Blackburn play some good stuff but are not ruthless enough, this is another tie which could go the distance.”
Sutton’s prediction for the clash is based on Pereira making changes but as seen against Bristol City last month, the Portuguese boss can still field a strong side even with alterations.
Wolves head-to-head record vs Blackburn Rovers
A cup run is great for the Wolves squad, as while Premier League survival is most important, it gives other players a chance to flourish.
Exciting wing-back Pedro Lima should start against Blackburn following his impressive performances in the cup competitions, and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde deserves to remain in the lineup after scoring against Villa.
When it comes to the head-to-head records, Wolves are unbeaten against the Championship outfit in their last eight meetings and last tasted defeat in the Premier League in March 2012 – a Junior Hoilett brace secured Rovers a 2-0 win at Molineux.
