Wolverhampton Wanderers are in EFL Cup action tonight.

Bruno Lage is looking for his first win of the season after losing to both Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League so far.

It is really not ideal that Wolves are taking to the pitch tonight, given the Spurs game was just over 48 hours ago.

It is a decision Lage has criticised in the lead up to the game.

Like Wolves, Forest have struggled for results so far in 2021/22.

Chris Hughton’s side sit bottom of the Championship at the moment having lost all four of their games.

They will be seeking to cause an upset, but Lage has named a strong side despite the quick turnaround from weekend.

John Ruddy comes in to replace Jose Sa, but the manager sticks with Max Kilman, Conor Coady and Romain Saiss as his three defenders.

Ki-Jana Hoever and Rayan Ait-Nouri come in as the wing-backs, replacing Nelson Semedo and Fernando Marcal.

Leander Dendoncker comes in to replace Ruben Neves in midfield, with Joao Moutinho keeping his place.

In attack, Morgan Gibbs-White comes in, as does Fabio Silva and there is also a first appearance of the season for Daniel Podence.

The star did not feature in any pre-season games, having been working his way back from a groin injury sustained last season, for which he required surgery.

He starts tonight and will be hoping to make a big impression under the new manager.

That makes seven changes from the team that started against Tottenham.
