Wolves resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday as Liverpool come to the Molineux.

A fixture which Wolves fans will be happy to see come round again given the 3-0 victory last time the two teams met at Molineux.

It also gives several new arrivals the first opportunity to make their debut for Old Gold.

It is also a game which sees a Liverpool team without their key defender Virgil van Djik who is suspended.

This will have gave Gary O’Neil and his side belief of success here with a massive upset what they want to achieve.

But how should Wolves line-up to achieve this? Here is what we want to see…

Preferred Wolves XI v Liverpool

Wolves made a bunch of late moves in the window after they had a financial boost, in the form of selling Matheus Nunes.

However despite this, we expect a familiar defence to line-up at Molineux.

Jose Sa has been brilliant this season so far so is the obvious call to continue here, probably the first name on the team-sheet.

Across the defence we expect Nelson Semedo and Rayan Ait-Nouri in the full back positions.

In central defence, Max Kilman the club captain will start, next to the reliable Craig Dawson.

The midfield is where we see a debut occurring with Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes being joined by new-boy Jeanricner Bellegarde starting in a direct Matheus Nunes replacement.

Matheus Cunha should then get the nod in one of the two positions behind the striker along with Pedro Neto who will be wider than his peer.

Up front we think it is time to unleash Sasa Kalajdzic onto this weakened Liverpool defence.

Prediction

We are under no illusion that this will be an incredibly difficult game for Wolves, however it is a game we can see some success in.

With a weakened Liverpool, all three points could be up for grabs however we don’t see Wolves getting them.

We think Old Gold do have enough to hold Liverpool to a draw however.

Prediction: Wolves 1-1 Liverpool
