Wolverhampton Wanderers were yesterday linked with a move for Burnley’s James Tarkowski.

According to the Telegraph, Wolves are considering a swoop for the English centre-half.

Tarkowski only has a year left to run on his contract at Turf Moor.

It seems the player could well be leaving in one of the next two windows.

He told the Telegraph last year that he had rejected an extension from the Clarets, calling the offer ‘nowhere near good enough’.

There hasn’t been any movement since, suggesting he’s eyeing an exit.

Tarkowski has been with Burnley since 2016, signing from Brentford.

He’s gone on to be a wonderful signing for the Lancashire side, striking up a solid partnership with Ben Mee.

Wolves fans have been talking about the idea of the club signing Tarkowski on social media.

It seems many recognise him as being a very good Premier League defender.

Plenty can get behind a possible swoop for him, especially since he likely wouldn’t be too expensive due his contract situation:
