Rob Edwards has overseen four defeats from four. He has made mistakes tactically so far, but the problems run much deeper than who is in the dugout.

Here are a few takeaways from last night’s game.

Wolves simply do not have the quality to stay in the Premier League.

The defence looks shaky again, and there continues to be no quality in the final third.

And it is difficult to see how the situation changes even after January, with many players surely put off by the state of Wolves right now.

Years of risky transfer business have finally caught up with Fosun, and Wolves will slip into the Championship next year as a result.

Fosun public enemy number one, after protests at Molineux

Ahead of last night’s game, there were powerful scenes at Molineux as fans gathered outside the Billy Wright Stand to protest against Fosun’s ownership of the club.

There were constant chants against them and Jeff Shi, which continued in the ground.

It was a show of defiance from loyal supporters, who have watched this ownership destroy their beloved club, and one suspects the demonstrations will continue now until they are gone.

There had been apathy previously, but that now seems to have turned into genuine fury and defiance.

Strand Larsen’s season goes from bad to worse

Strand Larsen was the subject of a very awkward moment against United when he was sarcastically cheered off in the second-half.

Edwards hooked him for Tolu Arokodare, and many Wolves fans let their feelings be known.

It was another poor performance from Strand Larsen, who could have no complaints if he was dropped against Arsenal.

Fer Lopez showed promise

Lopez replaced the injured Jean-Ricner Bellegarde against United, and looked lively.

There’s been talk of Wolves loaning him out in January, but he did not look out of place against United and tried to make things happen.

To say he’d not played for Wolves in weeks, he did well.

If Wolves do let him go out on loan, then it would be an utterly baffling decision.
